Staff

The Staff page enables you will perform management tasks for Groups and Users.

The proper permissions must be enabled for a user to access the Staff page from the Navigation Menu.

Users

Managing Users

The Users page allows you to create and manage the users. The user information entered on this page can be displayed on the Global Payments POS app, Receipts, and some Reports.

Search Users

You can search the different users accounts for your business. They will be listed in alphabetical order, with five columns that provide additional information about each User’s account.

  1. Click Staff in the Navigation Menu.
  2. Click Users.
  3. Enter the Price you will charge for the Product.
  4. Enter a Username.
  5. Select Active/Inactive Status.
  6. Click the Search button.

Add Users

The Add Users button allows you to add new user accounts for your business.

Users must be assigned to Groups in order to have access to the Global Payments POS app and the Global Payments Back Office.

  1. Click Add User.
  2. Enter First & Last Name
  3. Enter a Username.
  4. Enter an Email Address.
  5. Enter a Temporary Password.
  6. Enter or Generate a PIN.
  7. Click Save.

    8. For Locations with Timeclock Enabled

  8. Set Role and Pay Rate.

    9. For Accounts with Multiple Locations

  9. Select the Locations the User will have access to.
  10. Select the Group(s) to assign User Permissions.
  11. Click Save.

Edit Users

Edit any of the information for the current users listed.

  1. Click Staff in the Navigation Menu.
  2. Click Users.
  3. EnterSearch Information and Click the Search button (optional).
  4. Click the Pencil Icon next to the Users name
  5. Edit any relevant information
  6. Click the Save button
  7. Click the Done button

Activate/inactivate Users

You can change the active status of a User from Active to Inactive and back. Inactive users lose the ability to access the Global Payments POS app and Global Payments Back Office, but can still be displayed in some Reports.

  1. Click Staff in the Navigation Menu.
  2. Click Users.
  3. Click the Pencil Icon next to the Users name.

    4. To Make a User Inactive

  4. Deselect the Active checkbox

    5. To Reactivate the User

  5. Select the Active Checkbox.
  6. Click the Save button.
  7. Click the Done button.

Change Your Password

The User page allows you to change the password for a User.

  1. Click Staff in the Navigation Menu.
  2. Click Users.
  3. Click the Pencil Icon Next to the Users name.
  4. Click the Change Password button.
  5. Enter a New Password.
  6. ReEnter the New Password.
  7. Select the Save button.

Create or Change PIN

The Users page allows you to create or change a User PIN. You can choose to enter a PIN manually or Generate one randomly.

  1. Click Staff in the Navigation Menu.
  2. Click Users.
  3. Click the Pencil Icon next to the Users name.
  4. Select the Change PIN button.
  5. Enter a PIN.

  7. Click the Save button.

Groups

Groups

The Global Payments Back Office makes it easy for you to control which Users have access to Global Payments POS and Global Payments Back Office and what functionality is available to those with access. You can do this by assigning Users to Groups and assigning Permissions to Groups.

Add Groups

The Add Groups button allows you to add groups for your business. When you add a new group, you are automatically taken to the Edit Group page to add permissions for that created group

  1. Click Staff in the Navigation Menu.
  2. Select Groups from the Staff Expanded Menu.
  3. Click the Add Group Button.
  4. Enter a Name for the New Group in the Name Text Box.
  5. Click Save.

    6. You Will Be Taken to the Edit Group Page to Finish the Add Group Process.

  6. Select the Checkboxes Next to the Actions and Permissions you Would Like the Group to Possess.
  7. Click Save complete.

Edit Groups

The Edit Group button allows you to edit Groups for your business. The Edit Group button is represented by a Pencil Icon located to the left of the Groups name.

  1. Click Staff in the Navigation Menu.
  2. Select Groups from the Staff Expanded Menu.
  3. Click the Pencil Icon next to the Group.
  4. Enter a Name for the New Group in the Name Text Box.
  5. Click the Save button.

Delete Groups

The Groups page enables you to permanently delete a Group.

  1. Click Staff in the Navigation Menu
  2. Select Groups from the Staff Expanded Menu
  3. Select the Garbage Can Icon to the Left of the Group You Would Like to Delete
  4. Click OK if You Are Sure You Wish To Delete the Group
  5. Click Cancel if You Do Not Want to Delete the Group
